Jackson County Sheriff's Office has implemented a new phone system. With this system
you can video message and make phone calls to inmates.
A phone call has a minimum of 1 minute per call with a maximum of 30 minutes per call.
The first two minutes are free and every minute thereafter will cost $0.50. The video messages
are $1.00 and can be replayed up to 3 times by the inmate or the person receiving the message.
To initiate phone calls and video messaging, the inmate will send you a message asking you to
accept their “friend request” which you can accept or deny. If you accept, you will then use a
debit/credit card to add money to the inmates account for calls and messages. Inmates can make
free calls to their attorneys and/or public defenders.
The hours during the day that the phone calls and messages can be made are from 7:00
am until 9:45 pm every day.
Inmates must acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions of the inmate handbook
before phone calls and video messages can start being made. There is also access to bail
bondsman information that serve our area.
Each inmate has their own, unique number so it is never a worry that a different inmate is
using their funds, and each individual outside of the jail has their own number so the money that
the individual puts forward, is only being used for their calls and messages. To access
HomeWAV please go to www.homewav.com or follow the instructions on your phone.
On your cell phone you will receive a text message with a hyperlink to click on. You may
be asked to download the HomeWAV app. Once it downloads, open the app and hit sign up here.
Fill out all of the required fields. You will be texted or emailed a verification code that you will
need to enter. Once this is done, you’ll add your inmate. Choose Jackson County Jail (Colorado),
choose the inmate you wish to be in communication with, and follow the prompted steps. From
the home screen, once you have completed all information required, you will be able to review
your messages, scheduled visits, the registered inmates, your account, refunds and contact
HomeWAV for assistance. Once you have selected one or multiple inmates, they will see you’ve
added them and can then make messages and call. Calls and videos may be monitored and in any
inappropriate behavior or language is used, you may lose phone and video privileges.
If you have any questions on this system, please feel free to reach out to Terri, Jarrod, or
the dispatchers at the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at (970)723-4242. If you don’t own a
debit/credit card, you can go to most grocery stores and some convenience stores and purchase a
visa gift card to use.
